Introduction

Ina Scholten -  paintings

Ina Scholten's paintings are slightly figurative, and full of colour. Recently, Ina has been concentrating on large-size acrylic paintings that express themes such as communication, connection and reflection.

People in their mutual relationships play a leading role in Ina's work, as already indicated by the (Italian) titles of many of her paintings. Ina's startling approach to this theme results in paintings in which colour and shape invoke a tension-creating alliance, that appeal to the imagination.

She uses an associative method and allows her intuition to use the nuances of the material. Illusion and reality play alternate roles, dependent of the viewer's vision.

Ina Scholten's paintings are easily accessible, and their multiple layers offer the viewer the possibility to go beyond the first glance. For many, this gives her paintings a spiritual charge.
